This is a great little snare, the Joey Jordison Snare Drum more specifically the Pearl JJ-1355. This rocking snare is constructed with a 13” by 6.5” steel shell that is 1mm in thickness. The size and the construction of this drum gives it the ping and bite of a piccolo snare, but the full bodied fat tone of a deeper rock snare drum. This drum isn’t just confortable in rock and metal settings either, playing around with the tuning, it’s sound can be lent to just about any style of music.
This thing looks awesome! It features black Pearl Super Hoops as well as the Masters Series double ended lug system. All fits in nicely with the black painted shell with the Slipknot logo engraved in it.
The snare strainer is the Pearl model SR-017 strainer that uses a vertical pull method that keeps the snares securely against the bottom head with limited tension. This makes this snare responsive at all playing volumes.

For you collectors out there this snare is even available in a red finish, the Joey Jordison Signature JJ-1365RD Snare Drum. The reflective finish is a red burst style going for red to black. The logo is also a bit different, instead of the Slipknot tribal logo, there is a simple diamond with a “1″ engraved in it.
